Cross country run

On a cold but sunny afternoon Drouin Secondary College Students changed into their sports clothes and running shoes to compete in this year’s cross country. Students ran or walked the 2.7km course, enjoying the physical challenge and some healthy interhouse competition.

Paterson House added to last year’s win to claim champion house once again.

Age level champions were: under 13 male Fletcher Robertson-Edgar, female Bella Brown. Under 14 male Blake Cann, female Kasey Major.

Under 15 male Harrison Phillips, female Jess Nalty, under 16 male Kane Oldham. female Jess Mills.

Under 17 male James Williams, fe- male Tahnae Blight and open male: Cole Cook and female Angel Fuchs.

A strong and talented team of students then competed in the West Gippsland Cross Country held in Neerim South. Conditions were cold but dry, perfect cross country weather.

First place winners were under 13 boys Fletcher Robertson-Edgar, under 14 boys Blake Cann, under 15 boys Harry Phillips, under 16 girls Tanika Moore and under 16 boys Kane Oldham.

Studentswere congratulated on their positive and competitive spirit, with most students gaining places in the top 10 in their respective age groups. These results entitled them to contest the Gippsland Regional Finals at Lardner Park.
