Theatre alive at Labertouche

A special workshop saw the world of theatre came alive in the classroom at Labertouche Primary School.

The day prior to attending “Cranky Bear” at the West Gippsland Arts Centre, the students were visited by three actors from Patch Theatre Company for a one-hour workshop.

The students, ranging from grade prep to two, enjoyed singing songs from “Cranky Bear”, using their imagination, acting out emotions and feelings, animal walking games and chore- ographing movement to music.

The students also displayed animal costumes they had created.

The workshop was a special treat for Labertouche Primary School, with only one school offered the opportunity at each performance location.

Mesmerised by the workshop, the students were equally impressed upon attending the stage performance of “Cranky Bear” in Warragul and enjoyed picking out the actors who had visited their classroom.
