Labertouche in close match

The Mid Gippsland badminton match of the week was played out between Bayles and Labertouche in A grade.

For the second consecutive week the Labertouche boys had a close match.

While Kyle and Liam from Bayles had a win in the first game, the Labertouche boys then won the next two doubles but only gave themselves a two ace lead.

Kyle then had a hard fought win in the singles game with fine net shots and Liam got Bayles back in the lead by his game win.

Andrew from Labertouche steadied the ship, winning his game and giving Labertouche the win.

On Friday night we are playing the singles tournament.

This year it has been decided to play all grades at Warragul because of the amount of entries, but the start time is now 6pm.

The courts will open at 5.45pm and all players must be at the courts no later than 6.30pm.

Due to the lack of entries the Gippsland Badminton Individuals tournament was postponed until a later date.

Players are encouraged to enter when the new date is announced.
